Christmas staff do – Star Wars – ‘Rise of Skywalker’ and burgers at Byrons
Happy New Year! We would like to wish all of you a happy, healthy, safe and prosperous New Year.
We embraced the Xmas spirit and took the opportunity to take in the new Star Wars movie after our staff Christmas meal, was so good to be joined by Paul from Brighton – the burgers at Byrons in the Buttermarket in Ipswich were outstanding and staff despite having to work on Christmas eve were incredibly cheerful and couldn’t do enough to help. Please see below our verdict on the latest Star Wars – ‘Rise of Skywalker’ as seen at the Empire cinema also in the butter market, Ipswich
Jason – As a lifelong star wars geek and aspirational Jedi – I felt hugely deflated after the previous movie in the latest trilogy so entered the cinema somewhat apprehensive, however my concerns were unjustified as the movie went a long way in repairing the damage inflicted by the previous movies, it had lots of action, returned to the winning formula of the Skywalker saga and brought back the ultimate in the dark side Emperor Palpatine with what I thought was a very credible storyline – happy days, great evening with great company – MTFBWY
Reece – As JTC has together embraced the force this Christmas, personally I really enjoyed the evening. The movie itself was a fitting end to the Star Wars trilogy. It was certainly a vast improvement from the previous Star Wars film. Packed with action, and interesting plot – it kept us on the edge of our seats for sure! Overall, a great evening all round – the food, film and company. Wishing a Happy New Year to all.
Paul – Having travelled up to Ipswich from Brighton for the Christmas break I was ready for some serious R & R as they say. After an excellent Christmas Eve day breakfast with the family and a rest in the afternoon Jas and Reece came to get me for the JTC Health and Safety Services xmas staff do. Burgers and a movie are definitely my kind of thing and both lived up to my hopes and expectations. Have to say the fries at Byrons were some of the best I’ve tasted and the service was excellent. Star Wars – ‘Rise of Skywalker’ was a very pleasant surprise, reviews I’d heard warned I might not like it but the film was fine. Unlike my comrades I was a film short coming into this one so one or two characters or events didn’t quite make sense but overall that wasn’t a problem. Plenty of action, special effects and an enjoyable plot meant I came out of the cinema happy with both meal and film. Many thanks to my comrades for the fab evening!
